BPM Microsystems announce the worlds first semi-automatic device programmer

BPM Microsystems announce the BPM210

Small but mighty!

BPM Microsystems announce the world’s first semi-automatic device programmer. The BPM210 is a small tabletop system that delivers universal device support, unmatched productivity, and operator safety, making it the ultimate choice for high-volume production programming.

Double the throughput.

With over 35 years’ experience, BPM Microsystems are no stranger when it comes to device programming, so it is safe to say that they know their stuff when it comes down to it.

Conducting time studies, it was clear that when 8 sockets are used per programming site, operators are able to achieve double their throughput with the BPM210. Thanks to the semi-automatic socket actuation system.

Compared to the more traditional manual programmers like the BPM2900 & 2900L, where each socket is opened independently, the test results showed a significant amount of time can be saved.

Load and unload results:

  • BPM210 – 40 seconds
  • BPM2900 – 85 seconds

Just how universal is the BPM210?

Thanks to the use of 10thGen site technology, the BPM210 supports an extensive range of socket adapters, giving you the power to program a vast array of devices, including MCUs, NAND flash, NOR flash, and much more!

The use of active socket adapters features controlled impedance signal paths, providing unmatched signal integrity and ensuring the highest possible first-pass yield, unlike DIP adapters that can degrade signal quality.

Take your programming to the next level.

Once again, BPM Microsystems have broken the mould with the BPM210 and have delivered another disruptive innovative solution, setting the standard for productivity, safety, and universal device support.

When it comes to high-volume production programming, you need a solid solution that offers all the features and support you need to program millions of devices per year.

We understand that everyone’s requirements are unique, Adaptsys take care to fully understand you application requirements thoroughly and offer the necessary technical support to guide you to taking your production to the next level.

Speak with our experts today and take the first step in getting the edge on your competitors.

Adaptsys to exhibit at Micronora 2024

Micronora 2024 is fast approaching and we are happy to announce that we will be exhibiting this year!

Micronora 2024 will take place September 24 – 27, and our experts will be on hand to show you how versatile Re-flex II is.

Re-flex II is commonly used in the electronics and connector industries, but it is not limited to these sectors. In fact, Re-flex II is is a very flexible system and can be used across many industries from Aerospace, electronics, defence, medical all the way through to metal stamping and plastics.

That’s right, Re-flex II offers many benefits to the metal stamping and plastics industries. Using carrier tape to pack your components doesn just offer a simplfied way for your customer to keep track of stock, it allows them to improve there pick and place process, minisie damage to products.

Find out more on how Re-flex II can streamline your packing and tape and reel process and visit our experts at Micronora 2024.

Adaptsys to exhibit at SEMICON India 2024

We are thrilled to be exhibiting at SEMICON India 2024, September 11 – 13. At SEMICON India 2024 our experts will be on hand to take you through the many benefits of Re-flex II and how this solution will help you gain a competitive advantage over your competitors.

Re-flex II will help you to take control of your component packing process and streamline your tape and reel process. By using carrier tape in its unformed state, there are many advantages to buying carrier tape in the traditional sense of pre-formed reels.

  • Unformed carrier tape takes up less storage space
  • Unformed carrier tape comes in reel of up to 1500m
  • Re-flex II can hold input reels of unformed carrier tape of up to 1500m
  • Re-flex II can produced formed carrier tape directly into your tape and reel system on-demand
  • Re-flex II needs minimal operator intervention and can need Input reels changing over as little as once per shift

These are just some of the many benefits that you can achieve with Re-flex II, to find out more on how you can take advantage of this system and increase your efficiency by over 50%, visit us at SEMICON India 2024, Booth H3.Q37.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Adaptsys Launches New Website

Out with the old in with the new

Adaptsys are proud to launch our new website which has been given a complete redesign and is packed with new features. The new website still holds its core features for servicing sales and support for Device Programmers, Tape & Reel equipment, Parallel Board Test, Re-flex, Carrier Tape, and Accessories.

So, what’s new?

Not only will you notice a new modern look for our website, but you will also see new updated product images, documentation, and videos, but the most prominent new feature to our website is the tape search functionality.

The new feature will allow you to search for tape by inputting the AO, BO, and KO for your desired pocket size, and give you the closest matching results from our database of over 1400 pocket forms!

What if my search doesn’t provide a result?

Well, that’s easy, if you are lucky enough to find yourself in a unique position of having no matching results, contact us, this doesn’t mean it is not a product!

Our Carrier Tapes are manufactured in-house using our On-demand Tape Forming system Re-flex II, this allows us to create an infinite number of pocket forms, in-house and on-demand.

What’s next?

Over the course of the next year there will be plenty of new features being added to help make your experience better and find what you need easier.

We hope you enjoy the new website and experience it now offers.

BPM Micro announces the planned End of Life for all parallel port programmers in BPWin

Effective with the release of BPWin version 5.34.0 in August 2013, BPM Microsystems will no longer support programmers that communicate via the parallel port due to the incompatibility of the programmer’s parallel port driver in versions of Windows Vista and beyond.

The following parallel port programmer models will be included in this discontinuation of support:

Engineering 1600, 1700, Silicon Sculptor II
Concurrent 2600, 2700, 2700M
Automated 3600, 3700, 4600, 4700

These models can continue to function with existing BPWin software released prior to BPWin 5.34.0, but will not be eligible for algorithm additions or algorithm updates. Hardware contracts will also not be available for sale.

As a reminder, BPM Microsystems will discontinue site repairs, service and calibration on these parallel port programmers effective February 14th, 2012.

View the official BPM release notes here.

Customers with these models who require support will be encouraged to upgrade to newer generation models.

BPM Laser Dongle Upgrades

BPM announces a limited time period, free upgrade on Laser Dongle keys on their Automated Programmers.

This offer has now expired.

BPM Sales wrote:

In order to advance our BPWin software, we will be making incremental improvements to key feature components. Beginning with BPWin version 5.24.0 scheduled for release in the coming week, BPWin will now run with the latest American Laserware ProLase7 software. This means that if you operate a laser marker and wish to download the latest version of BPWin, you will need to purchase a new ProLase7 software license dongle.
Our standard price for the new ProLase7 software license dongle for BPWin is $5,000, however we would like to offer a limited time only upgrade at no cost to you, on the following conditions.
To take advantage of this upgrade offer, you will be required to ship your existing USB dongle to BPM Microsystems, LPT dongles are not usable as part of this offer. In return we will ship two dongles – one will allow the use of BPWin 5.24.0 with ProLase7, and the other will be an electronically marked “old” dongle in order to run previous BPWin software versions.
BPWin software versions prior to 5.24.0 will require the “old” dongle. Both dongles can be installed simultaneously.
To change out the old dongle, which is a USB device connected to the system PC, you simply remove the old dongle and plug in the two new USB dongles to the available USB slots on the system PC.
Please contact a member of our sales team immediately for your warranty exchange RMA number. Our inside sales and tech support team will be glad to answer any questions you may have on this upgrade.
Furthermore, BPWin 5.24.0 with ProLase7 will run under Windows 2000 and XP operating systems. You will not be required to update your current Windows operating system.

If you wish to take advantage of this limited time offer, then please contact your local Adaptsys Sales or Service engineer to make the required arrangements.
