PT-55 Peel Force Tester from V-TEK are built to test, confirm, and record proper sealing strength of cover tape to carrier tape. It is highly important to ensure parts are secure and protected correctly in carrier tape, so they do not come out of pockets during shipping, it is also just as important to ensure that the correct amount of sealing strength is applied to the cover tape, so it is released at the designated force resulting in a smoother automated workflow, stopping parts from jumping out of pockets.
Incorporating new technology and performance features make set up easy, maintenance minimal, and calibration accurate. The PT-55 is lightweight and designed to accommodate tape widths from 8mm – 120mm with pocket depths of 35.5mm. The system operates at peel speeds of 120mm/min or 300mm/min which conforms with EIA standards.
For hassle free set up, the PT-55 can be ordered with an optional laptop/security package to allow accurate control, set up, and recording. Of course, using your own computer is also possible but a software package is required to operator which is available on order.
